Tony Crosby, known worldwide as "The Sniper", is one of the top ranked billiard players in the world.

Tony Crosby vs. Efren Reyes

Tony, a native of Manchester, England, was born on July 22nd, 1974. He started playing the game of Snooker at an early age and played professionally for four seasons in various tournaments in the UK. Eager to explore new avenues and learn new techniques, Tony visited the USA in the year 2001 for a brief stay and was introduced to the American game of 9-Ball, by his host. Tony returned to England and joined the professional 9-Ball UK Tour, which he was on his way to breaking into the top 16, when he decided to return to USA to pursue the game of 9-Ball and compete with the top players.

He started traveling and taking part in tournaments across the USA and soon earned the nickname "The Sniper" from his opponents. Tony started playing professionally in USA in 2002 and entered all the major events possible. The United States Professional Pool Association (UPA) recognized his skill and dexterity with the game of 9-Ball when he was awarded the “Rookie of The Year Award” 2002. Additionally Tony also received the “Sportsman of The Year” Award for 2002, on the J.Pechaur Tour in January 2003, and finished third in the overall Rankings List.

Florida has become home for Tony where he lives with his family, Wife Natalie and two daughters Kayla (3 years) and Emily (1 year). When Tony is not out shooting pool you are sure to find him at home spending time with his family.
2006 was also a break through year for Tony making several TV appearances more notably one in front of over 200 million live viewers world wide representing the USA where he beat the #1 player in the world - Efren Reyes.

2008 should be a promising year for Tony as he has obtained sponsorship from two major companies, Strokeitwear.com which is a new apparel company, and Strokers Billiards Palm Harbor, FL. These companies will give Tony the financial and mental support which he feels will help take his game forward.

Look out for Tony Crosby in 2008. . .
He’s a man on a mission.

Hammer Heads $1000 Added

I followed up last weeks KF Cue Tour win with another 1st place finish at the Hammer Heads monthly open event.

38 players turned out for the event which I went undefeated in, in the quarter final beating Richard Broumpton who had Earlier knocked out Corey Deuel then Dan Lavoie and Finally Justin Hall in the Final.

These back to back wins put to bed my poor US Open and I have a few good events coming up with the IPT in Chicago followed by the FL Seminole Pro Tour the fllowing week.

I have been using a new shaft for the past 8 months and feel my game is just getting stronger and stronger. My KF Cue has the a new technology shaft called the Vigor, Its not a laminated shaft but it has got a carbon insert going through it, This gives the cue a low deflection hit but a far more solid feel.

I will be setting up a booth at the Hard Rock hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida for the joint Mens Seminole Pro tour finals and the WPBPA event which will run along side it. Stroke It Wear and KF cues will be on display so it will be a good chance for you to get a look at these great cues.

Thanks

KF Cue Tour.

I won the KF cue Tour event this past weekend at my Home pool Room Strokers in Palm Harbor.

The event only had 24 players due to the US open finals being played the same weekend.

I dropped a 9-5 match in the 2nd round to Josh Degler who played some great pool. I would then go onto to win 8 straight beating Bobby Livrago 9-4, Bob Eaton 9-3, Julio Aquino 9-7, Jason Richko 9-3, Jose Del Rio 9-7, Tony Ruberto 9-2 and Tracie Hines 9-2 this would put me in the final against Johnny Demet which I would go onto win 9-3.

This was a very tough days pool considering there were only 24 players. I took my First KF Event which was a small consolation for my poor US Open.

My next event will be in Chicago for the IPT's 16 man pro invitation.Taz Naravane finished the event as Top Junior player, beating out Bryce Lepak in the play off.

US Open 9 Ball Championships

I will be flying out for the US Open 9 Ball Championships Saturday morning. This is one of the biggest if not the biggest event of the year. Its also a Pro ranking event and a good event would see me climb higher than my current position of No 10 on the Pro ranking list.

This should be a great event with over 200 players already signed up to play.

I will be bringing updates daily on my progress, I will also be playing with my new Custom KF cue which has the new Vigor shaft on it.

I am looking forward to the event.

Thanks
